Cordelia Foxx

Portrayed by Sarah Paulson. Daughter of Fiona Goode. Head of the coven, aka the Supreme. Very protective of the girls within the coven, treats them like her own children.

Fiona Goode

Portrayed by Jessica Lange. Mother of Cordelia. Former Supreme of the coven. Killed the Supreme before her. Obsessed with looking young and will do anything to stay looking youthful. She is able to drain the life out of her victims.

Myrtle Snow

Portrayed by Frances Conroy. Head of the Witches’ Council and alumni of the coven. Very honest and kind. Rivals with Fiona.

Delphine LaLaurie

Portrayed by Kathy Bates. Used to be a wealthy Creole in the 1800s, very well-known in New Orleans. Tortured and killed her slaves. A voodoo witch kills her family after finding out what she did to the slaves and then cursed Delphine with immortality, locking her in a box in an unmarked grave. Is later dug up by the coven almost 200 years later.

Zoe Benson

Portrayed by Taissa Farmiga. 17-year-old who is forced to go to the coven to learn how to control her unwanted powers. Girl-next-door type personality, kind and caring.

Madison Montgomery

Portrayed by Emma Roberts. 17-year-old who was once an actor, but had to quit after killing her director with her powers. Came to the coven for help when it was becoming too obvious she is a witch. Grew up in a greedy household, making her very self-centered and unkind.

Misty Day

Portrayed by Lily Rabe. Burned at the stake when her town learned she could bring things back from the dead. Resurrected by the coven years later and spends most of her time listening to Stevie Nicks. Very kind, has a fear of abandonment. Brings animals back from the dead, animal lover, nature lover, hippie-like.

Kyle Spencer

Portrayed by Evan Peters. Former college kid in a fraternity. Killed in a bus accident, caused by Madison with her powers. Brought back to life by Zoe and Madison, but is left almost brain dead when he awakens. Has to relearn everything from talking to putting clothes.

Queenie

Portrayed by Gabourey Sidibe. 17-year-old who could never find a place to call home, until she came to the coven. Has voodoo-type powers. Has self-image issues. Fiesty personality.

Nan

Portrayed by Jamie Brewer. 20-year-old who is underestimated by most people in her life. Has the power of mind reading/thought reading.

Spalding

Portrayed by Denis O’Hare. Butler at the coven. Has no tongue, can’t talk. Fiona cut his tongue out.
