Portrayed by Evan Peters. Son to Ethel. His fingers are fused together since birth, causing his hands to look like lobster claws. Kind heart, means the best. Came to the circus with his mother Ethel.
Ethel Darling
Portrayed by Kathy Bates. Mother of Jimmy. The bearded lady, tries to protect her son at all costs. Tough personality.
Elsa Mars
Portrayed by Jessica Lange. She is obsessed with being a star but lost her chances when her legs were cut off when she was young. Owner of the Freak Show. Selfish at heart, but acts like she cares for others. Tries to find people who are different, to use for her circus.
Maggie Esmerelda
Portrayed by Emma Roberts. Fake fortune teller, con-artist, Stanley’s partner in crime.
Stanley
Portrayed by Denis O’Hare. Con-artist, works with Maggie. Will do anything to make some money.
Dell Toledo
Portrayed by Michael Chiklis. Father of Jimmy, was once the husband of Ethel. Exploited Ethel and their son, causing Ethel to divorce him. Considered “the strongest man in the world” at Elsa’s Freak Show.
Desiree Dupree
Portrayed by Angela Bassett. Has deformed, extra body parts. Very confident in herself.
Dandy Mott
Portrayed by Finn Wittrock. Descendent of Edward Philippe Mott. Very mentally disturbed. Son of Gloria. Was spoiled throughout his childhood, into his adult life. Likes disturbing things.
Gloria Mott
Portrayed by Frances Conroy. Mother of Dandy. Very naive and was close to absent throughout Dandy’s childhood. Gave Dandy everything he wanted, except time and energy into the mother-son relationship. Thinks Dandy is normal, even though she is sometimes afraid of him.
